THIS year Rosyth and District Musical Association’s show is the local premiere of The Wedding Singer and we have two pairs of tickets up for grabs.

This show takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up and a wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room. Based on the hit Adam Sandler movie, The Wedding Singer does for the ‘80s what Hairspray did for the ‘60s.

It’s 1985 and rock star wannabe, Robbie Hart, is New Jersey’s favourite wedding singer. He’s the life of the party until his own fiancée leaves him at the altar.

Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. Enter Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. As luck would have it, Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever.

Robbie Hart will be played by Steven Smyth who will be no stranger to local audiences as he has previously starred in many Kelty Musical shows plus the Cowdenbeath Community Pantos

The Wedding Singer will be performed at The Carnegie Hall from Wednesday March 28 to Saturday 31 at 7.15pm nightly, plus a 2pm Saturday matinee. Tickets are available from Margaret Walker on 01259 740321 and RDMA have very kindly given us two pairs of tickets as prizes (these can be used on either the Wednesday or Thursday evening).

To win the tickets, just tell us who played Robbie Hart in the original movie of The Wedding Singer, was it Adam Faith, Adam Ant or Adam Sandle? Please send your completed entry to The Wedding Singer Competition, Central Fife Times, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, KY5 9QQ by Monday March 12.
