A POPULAR band on the Fife music scene is The Columbos.

And they will be playing Lochore Institute on Sunday February 11 for the John Devine Foundation.

Although it may feel as though they have been playing for decades they only formed in 2009 and are a band packed with musicians who know their trade, have style, and who enjoy nothing more than playing live.

And the fact they let the good times roll has earned them an excellent fan base across the Kingdom.

The Columbos began life rehearsing in the back room of the Feuars pub in Kirkcaldy, played at a friend’s birthday party - and never looked back.

In April 2013 the band lost drummer Tom Arthur, who died suddenly - he was one of the Lang Toun’s best known, and much loved characters know to all as ‘Tam The Hat.’

They are playing the 'Tute in the first big fundraising show of the year for the Jock Devine Foundation and will also be at the Bowhill Hotel in April.
