HOSTED in the Adam Smith Theatre's Beveridge Studio, K107FM Community Radio presents 'Remembering Acker.....at Christmas.

This show at the Adam Smith on Sunday December 3 looks at and features the music of the famous clarinetist and entertainer of the 1960s.

Edinburgh Clarinetist, Hamish McGregor, brings together a band of the finest Scottish musicians to celebrate the music of the great Acker Bilk.

You will hear some of Acker's best loved tunes including 'Stranger on the shore', 'Aria' and 'That's my home' and, for this special show, one or two festive tunes.

K107FM Jazz Lounge presenter and vocalist, Grace Black, will open the show accompanied by Ray Martine presenting a set of songs from their cd 'Christmas Music Box' and a few other favourites.

Acker Bilk will always be remembered for Stranger on the Shore which took the charts by storm but there was so much more to this fantastic musician.

His work will be under the spotlight this weekend.
