And it will be at the Alhambra Theatre on Monday November 6 and we have a pair of tickets up for grabs for this one.

Set designer Lubov Sidelnikova says - "The Nutcracker - a delightful and kind fairy tale with a gemstone of Tchaikovsky's music. Therefore, I wanted to embed the set design of the Ballet as perfect dream of a flawless world where everyone is happy, and good always triumphs over evil. People are always trying to beautify their life and through beauty we try to create harmony and joy. In the set design of The Nutcracker I tried to create a sense of lightness and convey a celebration mood."

The Christmas story is based on "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. It tells the story of Marie, a rather sad little girl, whose godfather Drosselmeier gives her a Nutcracker doll as a present on Christmas Eve which turns into a prince and the magic starts…

When midnight strikes, the world turns all magical in the wintry glitter of Christmas Eve. Toys come alive, the Mouse-king and his mouse-army battle with the Nutcracker Prince and we travel through the Land of Snow to an enchanted place where the magic really begins….

To win the pair of tickets for the Nutcracker on Monday November 6 tell us what time of year the toys start to come alive and send your entry to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, KY5 9QQ by Wednesday October 25.
