NO FILM has quite captured the hearts of a generation like Dirty Dancing.

Iconic lines and scenes are still as cherished as ever.

And now there’s a chance to relive the excitement as a high-quality tribute show travels to Dunfermline.

A Night of Dirty Dancing is the ultimate tribute to the original film, directed by Emile Ardolino, which saw an entire generation fall in love with Patrick Swayze and long to be Jennifer Grey.

The Alhambra performance on Tuesday, October 17, is a chance to relive the passion, indulge in the romance and celebrate one of the most memorable movie soundtracks of all time.

Recast and re-scripted for 2017, it’s all down to Kellerman’s end-of-season show: revel in the cherished moments, the memories made and the music that resonated throughout the years in this timeless theatrical treat.

It was the first film to sell more than a million copies on home video and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack created by Jimmy Ienner generated two multi-platinum albums and multiple singles.

The film’s popularity led to a 2004 prequel, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights.

A stage version which has had sell-out performances in Australia, Europe, and North America, was also released.
