AS one of Ireland’s top Country music stars, Michael English has been going down a storm on the Irish & UK dance scene.

And he is coming to Dunfermline's Carnegie Hall on Friday September 29.

He is an accomplished musician and songwriter and is now a big name on the circuit with his energetic performances which leave the crowds wanting more. Join Michael and his band as he plays music from his current album “Dance all Night” which has been phenomenally successful and current hits like Take Me Home along with some new material.

His highly anticipated first DVD will be released at the end of this year.

At the age of nine, he started studying the piano formally at the Hennessy School of Music in Carlow. In 1990, he appeared on Gay Byrne's The Late Late Show television programme at age 11.

He continued his musical studies the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin and launched an Irish country music career.

Henry McMahon, of The Mainliners , offered him one of his own compositions, "The Nearest to Perfect" that became a hit for Michael in 1999. Signing a contract with Ritz Records, he won Best International Entertainer at the Irish National Entertainers Awards ceremony in both 2004 and 2005. He went on to record a number of albums, and a number of single hits with Dolphin / Roscas Recordings.
