THE Adam Smith Theatre is to host some leading variety stars in its biggest red carpet event to date on August 18.

The Scottish Comedy and Variety Gala Performancec sees acts coming from as far as California to perform and among them is Cowdenbeath's Liam A Black.

Star names on the bills include

Artie Trezise MBE, formerly of the Singing Kettle.

Artie is happy to return for a very rare stage appearance out of retirement.

The former Singing Kettle star’s new show Tartan Tales features all his Kettle Classics and some new numbers.

Artie was awarded an MBE for services to Children’s Entertainment, has performed by Royal Command, sold out every venue in Scotland many times over and even sold out big London theatres like The London Palladium.

Dean Park is a legend of Scottish theatre and has sold out all of Scotland’s top venues including Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and Glasgow Pavilion. Name another household name only famous for Stage work? Dean has appeared in over 30 pantomimes (even playing Wishy Washy in Adam Smith’s Panto many years back).

David Kay is a legend of Scottish comedy, his work has seen him sell out Edinburgh Fringe and appear on over 40 TV shows.

Drew McAdam is the world's leading Mentalist, he travels the world billed as the “human lie detector” and mind reader. Just by looking at your body language he can tell you anything from a bank pin number to who your first kiss was.
