Simple Minded have been lauded by past and present members of Simple Minds including singer Jim Kerr.

With Simple Minds celebrating their 40th anniversary in 2017, Simple Minded plan to cover all the bands big hits and cover all genres the band have been through from Punk to Pop to Rock to Acoustic. The band have a great reputation for delivering an accurate and energetic performance and that's exactly what you will get this year from Simple Minded.

All the guys in the band are massive Simple Minds fans, so there's a great deal of energy and enthusiasm in the band to deliver a brilliant set. In the bands own words they love what they do, absolutely love it and hope everyone who comes to their gigs loves it too.

Singer George and bass player Stevie have both worked with original Simple Minds members Derek Forbes and Brian McGee on their own projects.

The Fade started out in 1992 as a four piece (vocals, guitar, drums and bass) and founder members Raymond Donnelly and Michael Wallace continue to lead the band 25 years on.

The band’s first gig was at the legendary Kelty Rock Club, as the support for UK & US chart act, The Darling Buds. Another Top 40 band they supported, 'back in the day', was Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, whose keyboard player at the time, was Shirley Manson of Garbage fame. Shortly after this, the band decided to add a keyboard player to their line-up, which took their sound in a new direction.

Although not unknown to hit the studio every now and then, playing live has always been their 'thing'.
