ONE Man Shoe, by Jango Starr, calls in at Lochgelly Centre this weekend.

A delightful new show for children and families is touring Scotland from February 6 to April 14 and is at the Centre on Saturday.

‘A true clowning maestro’ is how Jango is decribed by the Scottish Arts Council.

When the headline act fails to show up, Jango, a bumbling theatre caretaker, is suddenly thrust into the limelight and embarks on a hilarious journey of highly crafted and heart-felt silent comedy, as he magically finds his way to realise his dream of transforming into a star!

Devised and performed by Jango Starr in collaboration with a some of Scotland’s finest and most experienced theatre practitioners, Director Gerry Mulgrew, Designer Becky Minto and Composer Philip Pinsky.

Jango Starr’s unique style of silent physical theatre includes contemporary circus clowning, slapstick comedy, puppetry, juggling and absurd magic, bringing laughter and joy to all ages!

A truly gifted and highly experienced physical performer, (over 20 years performing for children in Scotland, England, China and Australia), Jango Starr is an endearing character known for bringing joy and laughter to all ages.

The Lochgelly show starts a run of 24 shows in 20 venues including Fife, Stirling, Musselburgh, the Borders, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Skye, Mull and more.

Fife Cultural Trust have supported the creation of the show, and rehearsals have been taking place at the Centre – and the show on Friday 6th is the world premiere!
