KERRY and Lindsay Black held a fundraising Quiz Night in Cowdenbeath Bowling Club in aid of Daniel's Diary, a very heartwarming story.
Daniel is 14 months old and was born with Chronic Kidney Disease and needs a kidney transplant when he is big enough (approx age 3 years old).
He is now in End Stage Renal Failure and has bone disease, the little boy is on dialysis for 10 hours each day until he gets a transplant.
Daniel's mum, Louise Paton, was a dancer with Kelty Musical Association for many years and the quiz was well supported by family, friends, bowling club members and various local musical societies
Said Louise: "So far he has had 11 operations with many more to come. With me giving up working to look after Daniel and run dialysis, the fundraising so far has allowed us to buy a car to get him to hospital appointments at Scotland's only kids dialysis unit in Glasgow.
"It gives us money to cover any expenses in getting there, running the car, hospital stays, any equipment he might need in the future etc. Our thanks goes to everyone for their support
With 15 teams in attendance, the quiz was compered by Lindsay Black, with Kerry Black, Kevin, Anne and Fiona Keir as markers.
The winning team was regular attendees, Weird Fish, led by Jane Hunter and Kenny Stirling. The event raised a staggering £816.46 which will go to support Daniel and his family.
The photograph show's Daniel's grandparents, Tam and Christine Paton who accepted the funds on behalf of Daniel
