The East Lothian Courier is seeking to appoint a trainee multimedia reporter.

East Lothians best- selling weekly newspaper requires an ambitious reporter who has preferably passed or is in the process of sitting the NCTJ preliminary examinations, including shorthand; has a great news sense, good writing ability and accuracy; and the confidence to work effectively under pressure.

Preferably a car owner, applicants should be able to demonstrate a passion for the job and an awareness of the circulation area.

They should also show a willingness to learn new techniques and develop their skills as a multimedia reporter in an ever- changing media landscape.
