Jim Leishman has formally opened a youth football club's new changing facilities at Violet Park in Lochgelly.
LKB (Lochgelly, Kelty, Benarty) United has more than 90 youngsters on the books, participating in twice weekly training and playing for one of six teams: under 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s,14s and a girls under 13s side.
The club can also boast a coveted SFA Quality Mark in recognition of the quality of coaching and management.
The new facility cost more than £100,000 with LKB also securing funding from sportscotland, Fife Council and Children In Need.
Stewart Harris, Chief Executive of sportscotland, said: "sportscotland was pleased to have supported the creation of a new changing pavilion at LKB United with an investment of £68,685.
"At sportscotland we believe in the provision of quality changing facilities is crucial for the development of grass roots sport in Scotland and LKB United's new facilities will enable the club to host matches to help support the growth of youth football locally."
Secretary, Jeanette Hindley, who founded LKB United with her husband Paul four years ago, said: “It’s a brilliant facility. We’re just delighted.”
