Beyonce hulas to cultivate her curves. Kirsten Dunst has been pictured with the iconic hoop. Now, the fitness craze sweeping the country has come to Cowdenbeath.

The re-emergence of hula hooping even has a hip new name: ‘Hooping’.

And so many people have signed up for a new hulaerobics class in Cowdenbeath that Leisure Centre instructor, Debbie Leitch, has rushed through an order for dozens of extra hoops.

She said: “Hulaerobics is a great body toning class in which you learn to hoop on your torso, arms and legs. It’s ideal for losing those unsightly bulges around the waist and hips and it will also tighten your behind, improve your posture, elevate your heart rate and allow you have a lot fun while you are getting fit.”

Come along to Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre and give it a whirl on Tuesday from 10.45 am – 11.30 am or Thursday from 7.15 pm – 8.00 pm. Junior classes commence Saturday, 7th June. Booking is advised to avoid disappointment. Telephone 01383 602305 to find out more.
