By-election date is set

The Glenrothes by-election will take place on 6th November, it was announced this week.
Labour MPs were informed by Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy on Monday.
The seat has been vacant since the death of John MacDougall. The Labour MP lost his battle with Mesothelioma in August.
He won the seat in 2005 with 19,395 votes, followed by the Scottish National Party on 8,731, the Liberal Democrats on 4,728 and the Conservatives on 2,651.
Labour has selected Lindsay Roy, the 59-year-old rector of Kirkcaldy High School, as its candidate.
Leader of Fife Council, Peter Grant (48), will contest the seat for the Scottish National Party.
The Liberal Democrats have chosen 61-year-old businessman Harry Wills, while 28-year-old Maurice Golden will run for the Conservatives.
The Scottish Socialists have selected Morag Balfour and the UK Independence Party, Kris Seunarine.
