Jailed for assault and robbery

A man who assaulted and robbed a woman in Lochore was jailed at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Friday.

James Robertson, described as a prisoner at Perth, appeared on an indictment in which he admitted that he assaulted the woman in Lochleven Road on 24th March.

Robertson, the Court heard, knocked the woman to the ground and then struggled with her before making off with her purse.

Robertson was jailed for 16 months.
