STANTON.- Peacefully, following a long illness very bravely fought and in the presence of her loving family at Western General Hospital, Edinburgh on Thursday 3rd May 2018, Margaret (Mag) Stanton, aged 56 years of Lochgelly. Much loved wife of Gordon, loving mother to Pamela and a dearly loved grandmother of Halle. Sadly missed by all who knew and loved Mag. Funeral Service will take place at St Serf's Parish Church, Lochgelly on Monday 14th May at 1.15pm, thereafter to Lochgelly Cemetery at 2.00pm, to which all relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Donations may be given if so desired on leaving the church in aid of the Nicola Murray Foundation Western General Hospital. Family have asked that a hint of red may be worn in tribute to Mag's memory.

I met Margaret through Pamela over a decade ago. I remember meeting her and thinking she was a feisty woman who deeply loved her daughter, husband and family. I was impressed. As time went on I learned how kind, generous-hearted and gracious she was. I also liked how Margaret was a woman who said what she meant and meant what she said. Margaret was blessed by being part of a loving family, some of whom she has left behind to grieve her loss and others who she will have joined in eternity. Gordon, Pamela, and Halle' are in my thoughts at this difficult time.
